Frequently asked questions
Who runs NFI?
Nazim Foundation of India Trust is a charitable trust registered in Uttar Pradesh (Reg. No. 74/2024), founded in 2024 by residents of Basti. It supports orphans, widows, healthcare, education, skill development and community welfare.
How can I donate?
Online on our donate page with UPI, cards, net banking or wallets. It takes under a minute. For cheques or bank transfers, call or WhatsApp us on +91 92783 23225.
Is paying online safe?
Payments go through Razorpay. We never see or store your card or bank details.
How is my zakat handled?
Zakat is recorded separately from other gifts and spent only on people eligible to receive it: orphans, widows, the poor and people in debt.
What is the difference between zakat, sadaqah and lillah?
Zakat is obligatory alms for eligible people. Sadaqah is voluntary charity for any programme. Lillah / Imdaad can fund buildings, schools and community facilities that zakat cannot.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes. An acknowledgement with your Razorpay payment ID appears as soon as the payment is confirmed, and you can download or print it as a PDF.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Not yet. No 80G registration is published on this website, so please do not count on an income-tax deduction. This answer will be updated once the registration is confirmed.
Can I get a refund?
Donations are not refundable, except duplicate or mistaken payments reported within 7 days. Our refund policy explains how to ask.
Can I give to a specific project?
Yes. If the project is fully funded or cannot go ahead, your gift goes to the closest similar need within the same type of giving.
How do I join an NFI course?
See the course catalogue, choose a course and fill in the student registration form. Our education team will call you about eligibility, batch timing and the centre.
How do I verify an NFI certificate?
Enter the number printed at the bottom of the certificate on our Verify a certificate page, or scan the QR code on the certificate.
How do I become a member?
Annual membership is ₹500 a year and life membership ₹5,000 once. Apply on the Membership page and accept the Membership Declaration & Consent. Every member gets an ID anyone can verify online.
How can I volunteer?
Sign up on our volunteer page. You can help with teaching, computer training, relief distribution, health camps, fundraising, design or office work. Verified volunteers receive an NFI volunteer ID.
Is my personal information safe?
We use your details only to respond to you and run our programmes. ID proofs are seen only by NFI's team, payment details are handled by Razorpay, and nothing private is shown on the website.
