A skill can change the direction of a person's life.
Education gives knowledge, but practical skills can turn that knowledge into confidence, employment and opportunity.
Nazim Foundation of India (NFI) works to create accessible skill-development opportunities for young people, women, job seekers and individuals from financially vulnerable backgrounds, helping them develop practical skills that can be useful in employment, self-employment and everyday professional life.
Our approach
We believe skill development should go beyond simply completing a course. Our aim is to help learners:
- 1Learn a skill
- 2Build confidence
- 3Find opportunities
- 4Move towards self-reliance
Where possible, our programmes combine training, practical learning, career guidance and employment-oriented support.
What we offer
Nursery Teacher Training (NTT)
Training designed for individuals interested in developing foundational teaching skills and exploring opportunities in the early-childhood education sector.
Computer and office skills
Practical digital skills for everyday office and professional work, including computer fundamentals, documentation, spreadsheets, presentations and other relevant applications.
Accounting and office skills
Training in practical office and basic accounting-related skills that can help learners prepare for entry-level employment and professional environments.
Job and career guidance
We help learners understand opportunities, prepare basic applications and develop confidence in approaching suitable employment opportunities.
Who we aim to support
Our skill-development initiatives may benefit:
- Young people seeking employment
- Women looking for practical skills
- Students and fresh learners
- Job seekers
- People seeking to improve their existing skills
- Individuals from financially vulnerable families
- People interested in self-employment or small livelihood opportunities
Eligibility and course availability may vary by programme and centre.
From learning to livelihood
Our long-term objective is to create a pathway where practical education can lead towards greater economic independence.
- 1Training
- 2Practical skills
- 3Confidence
- 4Employment or self-employment opportunities
- 5Greater self-reliance
We cannot promise a job simply because someone completes a course. Instead, we aim to provide useful skills, guidance and access to opportunities that can improve a learner's readiness for work.
Skill development projects
NFI plans to expand its skill-development programmes according to community needs, available resources and partnerships.
Future initiatives may include additional vocational training, digital skills, professional courses, entrepreneurship support and employment-oriented programmes.
Upcoming programmes and verified project updates will be published here.
